You know who is in the building.
Do you know what is on your network?
Personal phones, contractor laptops, IoT sensors, smart displays. all connecting to your network, most of them never formally onboarded. Your next audit is going to ask how you control network access, and right now that answer takes longer than it should.
Edge7 Networks delivers cloud-native NAC that verifies identity and device compliance at the point of connection. No on-premises RADIUS servers. No PKI to manage. Just policy.
Your network grew faster than your controls did.
Five years ago, your network was mostly managed laptops and a handful of printers. Now it is personal phones, tablets, IoT sensors, smart displays, contractor devices, and everything in between. Each one connects to your network, and most of them were never formally onboarded.
The traditional answer to this was 802.1X authentication. The gold standard for network security. But implementing it properly meant deploying and maintaining RADIUS servers, a certificate authority, and LDAP integration with on-premises Active Directory. That is a heavy operational burden. Servers require patching, CAs require strict security controls, and the entire stack represents infrastructure your team does not have capacity to build or maintain.
So the gap stays open. Pre-shared keys get shared too widely. VLANs are assigned manually or not at all. When an auditor asks how you control network access, or when NIS2 requirements land on your desk, the answer is not as clean as it needs to be.
The reason it feels like there is no good option is because, until recently, there was not one. The on-premises approach was too heavy. Doing nothing was too risky. Cloud NAC changes that equation.
